    Tricare question

    Advertisements
We're going home in November for a month, will I need to register us in Tri-Care west if something were to happen to us and need to see a doctor? I'm worried about the little one getting sick. I sure hope she doesn't but it would be nice to have a plan of attack if she does

You have to be in the area for at least 30 days to switch. But then it might mess up your cs with tricare.
You can go into the er for emergencies.

no you do not have to switch if you going to be there a month, however you can only use the ER or acute care clinic.
and tricare has nothing to do with CS.

Do not switch, I went home for 2 months this summer and switched mine so I could have a non-emergency necessary doctors appointment and it just messed everything up. Just use the er.

Nope, if something comes up call tricare and get a referral. If you don't have time (ie an emergency) than go to ER and call within (they say) 24 to inform tricare that you went.

And you are NOT limited to er and acute care clinics. IF you call tricare and get a referral. I can promise and swear to that fact.
