    Hey Ladies,
My DH is deployed, and we bought a car. I am going down to Ft. Campbell for a quick trip next week. Can I get new vehicle tags for the new car without my DH being there?

Yes, as long as your name is on the registration for the vehicle.

your name doesn't even have to be on the regis. as long as you have a POA.

Heck I just went in to the Tax office here (where you do all that, seperate from ID's in MS) and registerd the new Jeep in DH's name soley with out my POA (left it at home) but I had the sales tax letter from JAG so I'm assuming the lady figured I was legit.

For clarity's sake (becasue I think the two previous responses are thinking of two different thigns), are you talking about base sticker/access tags or the vehicle registration tags via the state (plates)?

it shoulding matter. I've gotten base stickers at NOB, NAS Jax, NCBC Gulfport on DH's trucks that I have not been on. But I am his Dep. and carry a POA for him as well as am listed on insurance. Even though I'm not on his POV's.

Regis. with the state should be golden with a POA.

Good point. OP, I was thinking you were asking about getting the sticker decals from post. If you are talking about registering with the state to get your plates, then I think as long as you have the title and sales papers with your name on them, or a POA if they are in your husband's name, you should be fine.

While that may be true, your mention of going to the Tax office to get them indicated you were speaking of the registration tags and the other reply was in regards to decals - because there is a difference, I thought it would be a good idea to be clear
