    How to get a dentist..

    Advertisements
I need one I have a cavity so big I have to clean it out with a tooth pick after every time I eat. It hurts so bad I can't drink anything cold or sweet.

Anyways, how does this work? Does tri-care cover it, or do I have to go through something else?

United Concordia is the dental provider, and you have to be enrolled separately. You also pay an up-front premium. You can get the enrollment paperwork at the Tricare office, or enroll here: Tricare Dental Program

Then you find a provider that accepts it and go! But if it's hurting that bad, you might not want to wait. I'm sorry. Tooth pain is the worst.

Oh, by the way... I checked it out and if you enroll today your benefits won't kick in until June 1. If you're already in pain, I think you should just find a dentist and go- waiting until June could mean the difference between a $200 filling and a $2000 root canal- and the dental coverage really sucks. It's like 20-50% depending on the service.

Do you have any local dental clinics near you? Usually you can get into them for a fair price.
