Question benefits/ GI Bill after army

    Advertisements
DH is getting out of the army in about a year. He only signed up for 3 years. He plans on using his GI BIll once he is out. My question is, will he have any type of benefits with using the gi bill. Insurance or anyting? I'm just nervous about him getting out because I don't think we will have insurance anymore! Thank you!

He should for a few months, I've heard conflicting stories as to how many months. Also, the GI Bill has just been revamped again and he will not get BAH for online courses, it has to be physical classes. My cousin is having to move out of his house at the end of the month over this one.
No more damn ticker, he's home!

The change is that those taking online classes will qualify for a housing allowance. However, the housing allowance will be prorated to the number of credit hours taken and no housing allowance will be paid during mandatory school breaks. This last one is really affecting students because they will not get a housing allowance for say the Christmas break and will need to somehow come up with their rent money.
