    Shock Quick Question

    My DH is navy - we live in Sigonella NAS.


    ...if we want to go to northern italy, are we allowed to stay at say, The Airforce Inn @ Aviano AFB?

    I know in Japan, airforce/army members are allowed to stay at The New Sanno, a Navy hotel.



    If anyone could help us out, that would be great.

    Their website is very confusing.

    Yes. Those places aren't branch specific. If you hold an ID card, you can stay there.

    Just know as a visitor if someone comes in that needs the room (say tdy or pcs'ing) you can be bumped.

    Yes, true. Call in advance to reserve a room, just in case. You can also talk to the travel office (SATO i think its called) and see if there are other military type places to stay. I know in Germany they have a resort in Bavaria that is for active duty, retirees, reserves to stay, its cheaper than local places and its not on a base. Its run by the USO or something. See if they have something similar where you are going.
