How to I fix a pay error?

    Advertisements
Hi! My DH is in AIT at Ft. Leonard Wood and the day he left BCT at Ft. Sill, they stopped giving us our FSA (actually, though, it shows up as FSH on our LES. I totally don't know the difference.)

So, we didn't get FSH for most of December or any of January, but I'm not really sure what to do about it.
I tried calling the finance office at LW, but the number was disconnected. I could probably call another number, but I'm terribly intimidated by calling because I'm not sure if it's my job to handle the issue or if it's DH's.

Any thoughts? Does DH need to talk to someone about it or do I handle it? I want my $400!

Your DH needs to go to finance.

My DH wasn't getting paid Airborne for the longest time and he just kept having to go back and forth to finance until it was fixed...

I have to say when DH went to A School at FLW he had to go into finance there to get it set up. As he was no longer with COMSUBLANT in Norfolk so they ended it as none of their business anymore.

I think when ever you go to a new location that is seprate from where you were (ie. not with the same command/group/squad/whatever) you have to put in for it.

But yeah I would have to say it is something he can fix there so it is his respons. it would be diffrent if he were somewhere that did not have PSD/Finance and you had a specific POA to handle all of this.

You can't fix it, he has to. Tell him to go talk to the appropriate people.

I have a specific POA for DH's finance stuff and even then it was hard for me to get ANYTHING from them -- and I just hand a simple question.

And OP, this is something you can't fix, he has to do it.

    Thanks, girls.

I ended up getting frustrated that I hadn't been able to talk to DH so I thought I'd just call and see how far I got.

It turns out, they still haven't in-processed him in at Ft. LW, so he's not even in the system. I gave DH a heads up so it's in his hands now to figure out why their paperwork never got to where it needed to go.

Also, gunsgirl, his AIT is only 8 weeks, so we stayed put here.
