    Switching Tri Cares

    Advertisements
So I just moved from Idaho to Texas. Likewise I have to transfer from Tri Care West to Tri Care Central however no one I call at Tri Care seems to know how to help me do that.

Does anyone know how I need to go about doing this and getting a new PCP here in TX?

You could go over to the Tricare office at BAMC. The website says they are in a temporary location on Ft Sam - Building 1102, 2535 Garden Avenue

you have to print off the application from their website for the tri-west and mail it in depending on if you are prime you may have to be seen on base before you can go civilian but all you have to do is call for an appointment.

Just visit the Tricare office. That's been the easiest and fastest way for me to switch regions and get a new PCM.

We also went to the tricare office on base when we moved here. They just had us fill out a few papers and I was set.
