    Question about Tricare

With tricare, do they assign you a PCM or do you get to select one for yourself? Does it make a difference if you have tricare prime or standard as far as getting the PCM you want?

You can pick your PCM. I had Prime, and when I called to change my PCM they asked who I wanted. Just make it be known that you have a preference.

Depends...are you going to be seen at an MTF or are you on Prime and approved to be seen out in town?

There are various answers to your question.

At the MTF, you can request what provider you want to be seen with, as long as that provider is accepting new patients.

With Standard, you are responsible for calling around town or going on Tricare's website to locate a provider.
