    Confused About Tricare Prime

    Advertisements
So I just enrolled in Tricare Prime, and I didn't see any information about fees associated with it...did I miss something?
My husband is active duty air force. Will I be charged an enrollment fee, or no?

    no its freeeeeee

United Concordia (dental) is the only thing you are charged monthly for

you will be charged for prescripts if you go out in town and get them and not at the MTF.

    Okay. Thank you so much!

I'm not enrolled in Dental yet, but we need to get on that!

The Dental is easy. The payment come right out of the check so you never even see the money. At least the is how we have it done.

Yeah, I kew prescriptions were super cheap if you had to get them off base.

Does anyone know how much dental is per year?

I really wish DH and I would have thought to get POA before he left for Basic...life would be so much easier, and I could have signed up for Dental by now.

One more quick question. My Tricare Prime is shown on my ID card, but what about my 1 year old daughter? She doesn't get a military ID, so how do I show proof of her insurance?

You present your own ID card when you go for your DD's appointments. Your ID card is HER insurance card.

Okay. Thanks for clearing that up. I assume my husband's military would work as well, correct?
