    childcare

I have a question. Right now I do not have a job being that I have a new baby in my life. But I am going back to school at the end of June and I'll be looking for a job. Does the military help with paying childcare or is that something that I will still have to pay for by my self. Right now I dont have access to my fiancee's account and I wont until he graduates.

i have never heard of the military paying for child care... A lot of collages offer free or cheap child care for mothers going back to school... I would call up your school and see about that. That way you can at least save a little bit on child care expenses as opposed to having the baby in day care or with a babysitter the entire day.

    be cool.

The base childcare is based on the sponsor's rank.

Thank you guys just thought I would ask.... Cause childcare/daycares are really expensive... the nearest one to me costs 900 a month..... DF doesnt even make that much yet in a month.

The base childcare here only offers child care to parents who are both working(one active duty) and the spouse either working and or going to school.

So if I was not working my kids could no longer go to daycare( not because we couldnt afford it anymore).

They also go by rank and my pay as well.( This is an AF childcare though)

See I think that sucks! What about a spouse who volunteers full-time?!?

Usually, that is the case because they are full and have a waiting list.

You are correct. We even had a 2nd CDC open up ON base last year too. We were on the waiting list for 3 months.

Our base gives you 20 hrs free child car week or month (can't remember which) with a FCC provider if your volunteer. our base CDC goes on rank and priority (mil to mil, single parents, both parents working, non mil parent studying and other if there is space). FCC is only rank based pay
