Because it is prescribed, if you fill you Rx onbase, it is fully covered. If you go to Walmart or Walgreens or somewhere, there is usually a small co-pay

Unlike many insurance companies, Tricare actually covers contraception!!! Wonderful, isn't it??

When i get mine filled at the hospital I get a 4month supply at once for free. At walgreens I get it one month at a time for a $9 co-pay each. Not bad at all

I don't have the Nuva Ring, but I get the Depo Provera shot and still have to pick it up at the pharmacy myself then take it to the doctor. It only costs me $3, and it lasts for 3 months, so basically I pay $1 a month for bc LOL but like others said, if you get it filled on base it should be free...I just don't live near a base

As far as any other meds, if they are covered, it's usually $3 for generic meds and $9 for the name brand.

When I was on the Nuva ring, I got my prescription filled on base and it was completely free.

I got a three month supply at wal greens for like $27.00. It is not carried at all of the pharmacies. If they do not have it at yours, you can get it mailed to you I hear, but I just thought it was easier to go to wal greens. That is mostly cause by the time I realized I needed it, I needed it RIGHT NOW.
