Allotment

If I wanted to have an allotment for rent starting January 1, when would it need to be set up by?

I would set it up Dec.1st... That way the money would be taken out on 15 and end of month pay.

Hum, I would think before Dec 1st but I'm not sure though. I would ask housing. We have an allotment and it was terrible when we first set it up because we didn't get in before the right date and had to pay a big chunk up front.

Oh, question. Are you doing it so that half comes out of the first paycheck and half comes out of the second?

It's not for housing. In order to get a discounted rate I have to set up an allotment. I set a savings allotment last month, before the mid month pay and money came out of that check but nothing was deposited into our account until yesterday. I just don't want our rent to be late.

I would ask finance about this. Our friends changed their allotment on Oct 1st to show their new rent info and it didnt change over for Nov 1st.
