Spouse Life Insurance

Hi Ladies-

I have a few questions about my life insurace through the Marines. DH has no interest in finding out and we're not on a base so IDK where to go.

They're taking $5.50 out of his pay each check for my insurance. Does anyone know how much this would equal out to? And, does it last if DH gets out of the military?

Also, there's a line for TSGLI. We have a dependant but I'm not sure what that is. Any idea?

I'm a little confused.....if something happens to you, he should get $100,000. Was that your question? According to dh, he would only get that if something happened while he was still in.

According to that chart, your policy amount is $100,000.

and you can transfer your insurance over to life insurance offered through the VA when your husband gets out of the military...you have to pay, but its pretty affordable

When does coverage for my spouse end?

Coverage for your spouse will end 120 days after any of the following events:

The date you elect in writing to terminate your spouse's coverage
The date you elect in writing to terminate your own coverage
The date of your death
The date of your separation from service
The date of your divorce

Thanks! I changed that pic for Breastfeeding Awareness Week and have yet to change it. He almost 2 now

Yes, that was one of the questions that I was asking. How much coverage we got for that amount. Thank you! Now, I'm off to check the links.
