E4 exam?

DH isn't going to get to take the E4 exam. Not because of something he did, or didn't do. Because some how someone F'd up and now Nobody in Deck/Undes. can take the exam.

Is there anything that can be done about this? I was told that he could file a grievance or something like that??

I'm not sure, but I thought most people tested in September, or are you talking about the test in March? I think there is something you can do (or get points) although I'm not sure at all. Sorry to hear about that I'd just have him ask his chief and go from their to get everything ready for the next testing cycle.

Do you mean he didn't take the September Exam?

Is that what its called... I know nothing of the navy. It's an exam he was suppose to take, to go up rank or something like that. That was suppose to be taken last month. Then he got told that they didn't order it so he could take the make up exam the next month(this month). and now he is not able to even take that test.

What command is he with? You can PM me the details. If he was non-designated then he was suppose to have applied for a chance to take the exam in July and August.

There are more details that are needed though.

If his paperwork was completed by the right date, and the forms were then sent off by the right date (i.e. if he was otherwise eligible), the command should be able to order a late exam for him. However, if anything was missing, then one was never ordered and it won't be able to be made up. The most he could expect to get on appeal is someone sympathizing and saying "Man, that's tough luck. Sory about that, you got screwed." There's really no recourse. If someone was neglectful in their job, the error will reflect on them, but it's a Navywide exam; they aren't going to schedule a special retake just for one division at one command.

DH had all his ducks in a row. They didn't get to take the test first time around because someone in norfolk screwed up apparently? Said they'd get to take the make up one. And now they are saying that they can't take it.
