RE ENLISTMENT BONUS USMC - Military Benefits

My husband just re uped again on Oct 6th 2009

We were advised it would take up to 10 business days to receive our bonus. Well today is the 10 day mark... still nothing. The last time he reenlisted we got it in a week.

Anyone know how long approx it should take? He called last week and they said it was out of pay maint. and already at dispersing. I thought dispersing moved a lot faster than this.

I don't know..but I sure wish we were getting a bonus. That would be the bomb.

LOL. Yea we really need it. Its actually the only reason he is staying in. LOL. UGH. I wish we would get it already.

is he re-enlisting in the same field? Some times you will not get another bonus in the same field

he should contact finance though.

Sometimes it takes longer than they say. Often they will tell you wait another week after teh projected time to receive the funds before contacting finance.

We were told it could take up to months to receive it. Ours took about 3 weeks.

Pretty sure ours took 3 weeks (this was a few years back).

I've never heard of getting it within 10 days...I've heard a few weeks to a few months!

Wish I could help. We got oh's bonus before I even knew he signed his paperwork!

UPDATE: It hit our account at 2pm today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which we thought was odd.

Yes he reenlisted in the same MOS. Air Traffic control. Here goes another 4 years. LOL.
