But I also need to be on the higher dose BC for everythign to happpen the way its supposed to, like my period starting and stopping on time, or even happening at all. Any suggestions of what I can do?

Check with your local health department to see if they can help you out. They often supply free or low cost birth control, but I'm not sure if they do high or low doses. It won't hurt to ask!

Planned parenthood can probably help you out...I got free BC there before .... but it was over 15 years ago so things may have change.
Walmart and Target have SUPER cheap RX for people without insurance (average $10 and under). Call them and give them the name of your BC and see how much it costs. Good luck!

I thought Yaz was low dose? I'm on it and I'm pretty sure it's low dose. I'd just go to your gyno, tell them you need a high dose birth control that isn't too expensive.
Or sometimes you can get it for free or for a low price if you are near a health department. Or planned parenthood

That's where I get my plan through. ![]() I pay something like $35/mo for an emergency and accident plan. I can still go to the MD, but my copay is higher. I also waived my maternity rights, considering DB will be gone for the next year! I get my BC through planned parenthood. Take in a copy of your paystub and they will work on a sliding scale for you for your services.
