Signing bonus? - Military Benefits

My dh got the first installment of his bonus last year and now we thought we were getting the second installment this month. But, I looked at his LES and it's not showing up on there. Does anyone know how to find out when he will be getting it?

From our experience it goes on his enlistment anniversary month and he never gets it on payday, its a different deposit although it is listed on his LES. If its past his anniversary month then he will need to go to finance and make an inquiry. Dh had to do that last year and they got it in the next week.Hope this helps.

Our bonus was just the lump sum put into our account had nothing to do with the pay check...

ours doesn't show up untll the oct 1-14 les (the one you get on Oct 15th), but we recieve it Oct. 1st (the fiscal year) DH anni is in may, I know alot of people that get their bonus on Oct. 1st. It will come in 2 seprate checks deposited to the account though.

You'll get it the 2nd of Oct that when we receive my husbands SRB...its on the bottom of the LES where all the info is about misc crap and your bank info is.

Hey ladies, I have a question regarding the sign on bonus. My husband enlisted april 2008, but got his first lump of the sign on bonus we got here to his unit and he turned in the paperwork. I'm pretty sure he got it around the 2nd week of November last year...is that when we can expect it again this year? I just checked the LES and it's not on there. Just wondering when we can expect the money!

The Army bonuses are usually deposited on the enlistment contract anniversary date, in the Navy it was always in October no matter what your contract anniversary date was.

My DH just got his first one since he just got out of AIT and he called and talked to DFAS and they confirmed his next one is set for December which is 1 yr from when he left for basic. However, this installment did not show up on his LES, it just showed up in our account which sprung the call to DFAS. If he is concerned have him go to Finance to ask or have him call DFAS to see when the next one is scheduled.
