Has anyone ever heard of this? - Military Benefits

Some one told me that the military (this is from their mouth) pays for 2 plastic surgeries a year? I have no clue how true that is...Has anyone else heard that before?

I believe it's a myth.. and I believe the only surgeries like that they pay for is like reconstructive if it's absolutely necessary. Nothing cosmetic

I have heard that before.. I heard that you have to go to the Dr. app and tell them that you are depressed about how you look and they will do it... I dont know how true that is though!!!! When you find out will you let me know!!! lol

Wouldn't that be nice! I'd be first in line at my doctor if it were true! I think they'll only do it if it's medically necessary.

I seriously doubt its true. This has been posted numerous times. I just don't see the logistics of it working out.

I had a car accident, and it took 2 years for me to get my surgery on my face and neck approved. It wasnt hideous, but it was noticable. They have to have military doctors that are able to perform those procedures, but there is a huge waiting list for them and only certain treatment facilities do them, and you have to go through a huge process to get it done.

Also and saying you are "depressed" with how you feel will get you put into therapy to see if that helps (Which is usually the best way to start out)
