Command sponsership
ok maybe i should put this in the "venting" section
![]() We got married a month ago and we are trying to get command sponsership, but its such a pain in the *ss because first i needed a medical exam to get into tricare, and i had to wait 3 weeks for that appointment, so i went in the other day and now i have to wait another 3 weeks for all the blood work to be done, my 2 boys need exams too but they dont have any appointments right now , i dont understand this!!! I am calling the hospital back today to see if we can finally schedule something for the kids, i mean this is ridiculous! We cant get into tricare, we dont get the extra housing or cola money untill command sponsership is approved!

Yeah command sponsorship can take a while to see if you are approved or denied, but if you are a military dependent you should be able to get enrolled in Deers and Tricare right away.
Yes you will need a medical, dental and mental clearance to be overseas but not to get on tricare. Not in my experience at least. You seem to have to be doing more than I did to get be command sponsored to be overseas. |

I think OP might be alittle confused on how it all works or maybe worded her post wrong?
You do not need a physical to enroll in deers. You do however need to get a physical for an overseas move through the EFMP office at your military installation. |
