gyno and tricare question
ok we moved a couple months ago and I haven't been to a gyno since I've been on tricare nor have I been to see my new primary care dr. Well I missed my period and think maybe I'm prego. I've took like 5 home pregnancy test but all say I'm not pregnant, but I'm not convinced. And on top of that I'm outa bc. Do you have to go see your primary to get a refurral to a gyno? Because they can't see me for a month. I just don't know how its supose to work.

If your under Prime you will have to see your primary first, often times they will do your annual and can get you a pregnancy test also.

I have never had to get a referal for gyno. I just call family practice and say I need a pap or whevever and I get a gyno. No biggie. Just call the appt line and say you need to get blood drawn for a preggo test.

If you want an non military gyno than yes you would need a referral from tricare. But if you are at a base that has a women's clinic even if your pcm is not in the women's clinic than you would just see a gyno from the clinic instead of your pcm.
