Block leave and R&R

Block leave pre and post deployment and R&R are all chargeable right? What happens if they don't have enough, they go in the hole or they are only allowed to take as many days as they have?

it depends on there command if they will let them go in the whole. I know before DH's unit left his command let some of the guys go on pre block leave without using any of there leave. But it all depends on there command and the person asking for the leave.

Totally depends on the command. Last deployment, apparently they were allowed to go into the hole (DB wasn't with them), so there was a big uproar when they WEREN'T allowed to go in the hole this time. I'm speaking block leave, predeployment.

For R&R, I believe they are letting them go in the hole, since they will "earn" the leave before they leave the sandbox. Whether or not they let them go in the hole for block leave after the deployment, we'll see. DB won't have any problem, so I haven't been too concerned. I just listen to him tell me about his guys whining about it.
