Using Montgomery and 9/11 GI Bill?

    Advertisements
Someone told DH it's possible for him to use both the old Montgomery GI Bill and the new Post 9/11 GI Bill. He paid into the old one and qualifies for the new one. Someone told him once he uses up the Post 9/11 he could draw from the Montgomery. Has anyone else heard this? I'm wondering if this friend was just confused.

I actually asked my co-worker in the veteran's affairs office at my school about this last week and it is my understanding that you can only use one or the other i can ask again tomorrow about using up the post 9/11, then drawing from montgomery if you'd like

You have to pick one or the other
An unconditional right to say what one pleases about public affairs is what I consider to be the minimum guarantee of the First Amendment.

If it's easy for you to, that'd be great. If not no worries.

False information. Once you use your entitlements for the Post 9/11 Bill then they will refund your $1200 Dollars that you paid in for the Montgomery G.I. Bill.

Really? Maybe that's what his friend was trying to get at. Getting that refund would be awesome!
