    Tricare and PCSing

    Advertisements
Is there anything I need to do with regards to tricare if I'm PCSing and moving regions or does Tricare do all that for you?

If there is something - do you do it before or after you get to your new duty station?

We just waited until we moved and had a new address, then called them up and submitted an application for our new region. It was pretty simple.

You dont have to do anything till you get to the new duty station. Then just go into the tricare office, fill out the paperwork, have them stamp it and it's changed that day. You can walk out of there and make an appt.

When you get here, you may want to do US Family Health Plan instead. The hospital that takes Tricare sucks monkey balls. (I'm just now getting bills for stuff that was done over 2 years ago). www.usfhp.net There is a clinic right next to the commissary, and you can get in same day. I like them so much better than tricare here.
