    I.D. Card Renewal

    Advertisements
I am almost 100% sure that DH needs to be there when I renew my ID unless I had a current POA (which I don't) but I thought I would ask in case I can

I know with the Navy G has to fill out a form ( I think it's 1172) if he's not accompanying me to get the ID.. not sure if the MC does the same thing... if so you'd need that in accordance with POA.

Well, I'm what I am and I'm what I'm not
and I'm sure happy with what Iíve got
I live to love and laugh alot
    and thatís all I need

Yea, it totally sucks. I just have a general POA that we renew every couple years. There is a DD form that doesn't need a POA I think, just his signature. Call and ask, you might be able to download it and fill it out for him so all it needs is "his signature".

When I had to renew my card without DH, all I needed to bring was POA and my expired card.

It's a DD 1172. http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/i...rms/dd1172.pdf It does have to be verified by his unit.

If my ID isn't expired do I need DH there to get a new one? My ID is coming apart.
