    If we are receiving TLA will we still receive BAH?

    Just to add... I'm not trying to get benefits that we don't "need". I'm simply asking how it works.

    I also need to know if we will still get BAH for the days that we are still in NC before we move to HI. We'll still be paying rent for this house....

    Yes you will still get BAH> TLA is a pc's pay. Has nothing to do with BAH.

    TLE ( in Conus) TLA (oconus including AK and HI) is a PCS entitlement and is completely seperate from BAH - so to answer your question: yes you will still get BAH in addition to your TLE/TLA

    BAH will remain at the old PDS rate until the AD member checks into the new PDS.

    Need and entitled are 2 very different things-- even if you don't NEED it- you are still entitled to it.

    Thanks!! I posted on another board and got JUMPED over my question!! Thanks for replying!! I had DH call too, (before you replied) and they told him the same thing! It's good though!! I'm glad! The extra will help out somewhere when we need it!

    Yeah the first few months were tough here, waiting to get reimbursed for travel claims, paying for rental cars, eating out,etc. It gets better, once the pay is all straightened out and you get settled.
