    A Question...

    Advertisements
I know there's uber amounts of BAH questions, but I searched and didn't really find anything...

DF is Army National Guard and is slated to deploy sometime in 2009-2010. While he is deployed he is considered on active status, correct? So does that mean he will recieve BAH? (We are probably going to be married before he deploys again). Also, he is suppose to be starting an AGR job for driving on base; does that mean he would be considered on an "active" status again, and eligble for BAH as well, or am I totally out of it?

    Thanks in advance!

If he is actually activated then he would qualify for BAH with dependents ( if as you state you two are married) for deployment he is considered active. The other one it would depend if they would still keep him activated or not.

he should be considered AD while deployed and will get BAH and if you are married and he is gone for more than 30 days, he would also be eligiable for separation allowance

when they are involuntarily separated from their dependents for 30 days or more. They get 250 a month till they get back. involuntary means deployment or TAD ( temporary assigned duty)
