    Confused TRICARE question

    Advertisements
Do you get an insurance card? I haven't got anything in the mail and when we selected a PCP I didn't really get any information. Kinda confused by the whole thing Any help on all the Tricare stuff would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ladies!

I didn't get a card this time or the last time....just a letter saying who my PCM was. The only time I have gotten a card so far was when I was Prime remote, other than that I use my ID card.

How long ago did you register for a PCM??

I do have an insurance card. Depending on where you'll be receiving care, you may not need the insurance card. At the MTF's an insurance card is never asked for. As long as you have your military ID, you're good to go.

I'd call Tricare for the insurance card though! I see a civilian ophthalmologist and they requested for a copy of my insurance card during my first visit...

    I have Tricare Prime...

The "card" they sent me had like, a couple phone numbers and a spot to write down who my pcp is.... the only thing anyone cares about is your military id

I signed up mid-April and I haven't even got that letter yet. I remember who I picked because I have a copy of the form that we filled out, but I haven't gone to the doctor yet. I don't know if it's Tricare Prime or what it is even.

I don't get why they need to see it....they can't file without the info off of the ID card, just take that
