    very frustrating...

Okay, so this is all so very long, but ill try to keep it short so somebody will actually read it and help me LOL

So ive been here since I guess february but tricare prime (by the time we registered for it or whatever) wasnt active until April 1st. So I kept seeing my civi doctor from my previous insurance because i wanted to keep being seen, well I had a prenatal appointment for down here with tricare after april 1st.. but then when I had those family emergencies and had to go home, I had to cancel it and Tricare allowed me to see my previous doctor at home because I was having pregnancy issues and needed to be seen, and my doctor accepts tricare..

anyways, So when I called to reschedule my FIRST appointment here (i called when i was like 32 weeks) they said there wasnt availability until may 30th... She said there was nothing I could do so i said okay and hung up. Well now that everything has calmed down from this past week and i have time to think, i cannot wait to be seen again until 37 weeks, Well I guess I COULD but Im a worrier and i really like being seen every couple weeks , it makes me feel so much better ...

Is there anything I can do or am I pretty much SOL and stuck with not bein seen until the 30th??

Call the patient advocate. Explain to them the situation, explain the complications you had and they should be able to pull some strings for you. Let me know if you need any help.

Also when you call let them know you had issues before. If they know that maybe you can be seen sooner

Are you calling the tricare appointment line? i would call the OB clinic itself and see what you can do. I found that works well too. When i needed to have a US done within a week the appointment line could only give me one like 5 weeks out, but a call to the OB who called the radiology dept got me in within a few days.

    I will miss you SOS...
Please be wary of what you post remember OPSEC is not just another acronym.

Stupid question - How do you get ahold of the OB clinic itself??

Its ok, its kinda hard to figure out where to start. I didnt have insurance before I got married so I was used to seeing whoever I wanted. Where are you supposed to be seen at?

i was at the eglin afb hospital for my entire pregnancy and it was a cointoss whether i'd get an appointment within the timeframe suggested for prenatal appointments. it was usually a week later or so. but it was still the best they could do and that's all we could do was tricare so i had to deal with it. i like reassurance too but since i was so far along, i would just make sure to take notice to every little kick and movement so that way i knew the baby was still doing well in there.
