    ER Visits?

    Advertisements
I have been hearing a rumor that TriCare is going to go back to the old way where they require you to call to get authorization to be seen at the ER. Has anyone heard that? Anyone know it is true?

I thought that's is how it is if you're on Prime and see a civi ER, Tricare must be notified w/in 24 hours of the visit.

For 3 years now we have just been going to the ER and we don't even have to notify them. Before that I remember needing to have authorization wherever we were to go to the ER.

That's what we do after hours at UCC. But last week I got a bill for a time we took Hunter and did not call and I had to fill out boocoo of papers to have it covered.

We've never need any authorization. The last time we went, last year when Stella was bitten by a dog, we just walked in without needing an authorization.
