    Contacts and Tricare?

    Advertisements
Does anyone know what the military does or how contacts are covered? I just want to make sure I'm going to be able to see with this new insurance (will be an army wife in December) if they're not covered it comes out to over a hundred for my contacts can anyone give me any info about this? thanks!

Nooope. They are the biggest pain in the rear when it comes to vision. They cover one eye exam per year.

Nope. : ( It is most sad! There's a short list of exceptions to that that include having eye damage because of surgery and *serious* eye problems like keratoconus...but...outside of that. No.

Just the yearly eye exam. Some places will give a military discount, like Lens Crafters.

It's ridiculous. : / The boy and I both have vision issues! They get glasses, at least, though. Not spouses though...what do they need to see for?!
