    Bonus Question

    Advertisements
Ok I have a few questions: Dh just reenlisted and is getting a reup bonus. I know that they told him he should be getting part of it in a lump sum so my question is. How long until they give it to him. also, if he was getting it would it show on mypay?

depends on when he reenlisted, and yes it will show on my pay.. usually at the bottom it will say congrats for reenlisting your bonus is x amount. we have never had to wait more than a week past his reenlistment date to get our bonus.

    I will miss you SOS...
Please be wary of what you post remember OPSEC is not just another acronym.

You'll get half pay up front, in a lump sum.. minus taxes unless he's in a tax free zone when he reupped. (Taxes could be up to almost 30%) Then the rest of the payments will come over the next 4 to 5 years. You'll probably see the SRB in a week or two.

Well, I'm what I am and I'm what I'm not
and I'm sure happy with what Iíve got
I live to love and laugh alot
    and thatís all I need

Ours was in within 3 weeks of his re-enlistment. He reupped right before the beginning of the fiscal year so he got the yearly installment before the half payment..

Dh's first time he was given an actual check, the second time it took well over 4 months to get. I don't know why it takes so long now but sadly it seems to get worse as time goes on. Congrats on the re-enlistment.
Missing someone gets easier everyday because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will.
