    Tricare and pregnancy

Does tricare cover everything during the pregnancy and birth? Is there anything that will be coming out of our pocket?

IF you are tricare prime, it is supposed to. I am dealing with medical bills up the wazoo that are supposed to be covered and I am still being billed. She was born on May 20th..... it's a PITA.

If you deliver at a military hosp, you pay nothing and no medical bills to worry about.

that would be kind of difficult here, we really dont have a hospital on base here, just a clinic.but i'm thinking they will refer me to a hospital.

I am on prime and I am seen on base and so far everything has been covered. They gave me 3 ultrasounds so far. One because I was spotting at 6 weeks. They usually do give you two here. One at 12 weeks to confirm your due date and the regular 20-22 week one. We got 2 pics of the baby at 12 weeks and 3 of the baby at 21 weeks. They said they are only suppost to give us one, but my husband was so dang excited I think the lady liked us so she gave us more. Good luck hun!

Everything including my c-section and DD's 4 day NICU stay was covered by Tricare Prime. Tricare standard is different though.. there are copays with it.

I had 4 sonograms and got pics with each one. My OB's staff even videotaped the 21 week sono when we found out the gender.

Well, I'm what I am and I'm what I'm not
and I'm sure happy with what Iíve got
I live to love and laugh alot
    and thatís all I need
