Military Spouse Residency Relief Act
Very copied and pasted this from another forum because it is very beneficial to military spouses
I received an email including the information in purple below about the Military Spouse Residency Relief Act. This is something that affects all of us that are spouses. Please follow the link and email your state representative asking them to sponsor this. It is very easy, click on this link http://capwiz.com/moaa/dbq/officials/ to find the email address for your rep. The form is filled out with all the act info, all you have to do is fill out your info and send it in. You can add a personal note if you would like. If this gets passed we wont have to deal with getting a new drivers license every time we move, or deal with those difficult tax questions. Yesterday, Representative Carter (R-TX) reintroduced the Military Spouse Residency Relief Act. Senators Burr (R-NC) and Feinstein (D-TX) introduced the Senate version. This legislation will give military spouses the opportunity to choose a state of domicile that doesn't have to change with each PCS. They will need all of our support to get some traction on these bills. Check out the latest blog: http://moaablogs.org/spouse/ <http://moaablogs.org/spouse/> for additional information and links to MOAA's CAPWIZ program that will allow you to contact your representatives.
