FRG ladies I have a - Military Activism & Advocacy

question....

I would like to become involved with the FRG, however DF's unit is 5 hours
away, so that would be hard for me. However there is a NG unit not far from where we are, and I was wondering even though it is not DF's unit if I should
call to see if they would like another person in to help with anything.

I am the FRG VP of my hubbys ship and I know they are always looking for helping hands in different things. So you could try that but make sure your FRG has your information for any big things coming up and all that good stuff

Our FRG has members from other units because we're closer to their location. All the boys are deployed together so they still get information about their SOs unit. Not sure how it would work otherwise.

I'd like to do this also. My So is in the Guard and his unit is a few hours away, but I have one here in my town. What do you do?

The people that came to talk at DF's family day said that a lot of the time the NG units don't have FRG's for each unit, instead they are regional so you could be involved in whichever is your region. I will have to look tonight if I have the chart and if it has a site. They gave us a list of every county/city in our state and the coordinator you would call for that region....
