Proud Seabee wife!

I volunteer for Soldier's Angels here in San Diego. I was talking to the SD organizer. She said their are around 200 soldiers on the website right now signed up to have an Angel adopt them and they haven't been yet.
I think it would be great if as many gals from here could adopt just one. They really appreciate it. Yesterday when I volunteered at our booth half the people that donated were all military themselves. We also had a few come up to us saying they loved having an Angel when they were deployed. So if you can go to the link and go to adopt a soldier. Thanks!! http://www.soldiersangels.org/ Also they need over 180,000 blankets to go in the Christmas Care packages. If you want to donate one or make one that would be great. |

I've done a few adoptions, but with working full time and DH being back from his deployment, I kept forgetting to send them. I sent his name back to Susan because I felt horrible. I will, however, gladly send things in for the Christmas packages.
Any idea what kind of blankets? Or should I just send a message to Susan? |

I did a few adoptions & never heard back from any of "my" soldiers. I wrote to them each for a good 6+ months & never got even an email. I know alot are busy but it would have been nice if I atleast heard back just once to know they were receiving what I sent. I was really discouraged after that & quit writing!
I know it is a great organization, though!

I rather enjoy helping out..I got involved with them when I lost my fiance back in 2005..Since then, I've had over 10 soldiers and even got my mom involved with them..Funny thing is that it's not even including my dh or brother who are military.

![]() I'll get some blankets together and get them out. I need to go on the site later so I can send them to the right place.
