A Question about flags on graves
Last year, I went with my parents to visit my Great Grandfather's grave on Memorial Day. He was a WW1 veteran. I remember going over to his grave and there was no American Flag on his grave.
I think it's sad that whoever goes around the cemetry forgot about my Great Grandfather like that, my dad said there used to always be a flag put up near his grave.
Do you think his name got taken off the list some how? Does anyone if I can call and check, and how I would go about getting the local VFW to make sure they honor his grave this year?
TIA

It ends by her winning from God a respite of suffering every year from Good Friday till Trinity day, and the sinners at once raise a cry of thankfulness from Hell, chanting, 'Thou art just, O Lord, in this judgment.'-The Brothers Karamazov, Fyodor Dostoevsky
