  1. My dd's room is a war zone and ds, not so much because they need somewhere to sit while watching tv! Although dd does like to lay a blanket down on the floor and it has to be neat so they can sit on it! One time she did that and told me she was at the beach!
Ooooooo good song on the radio right now. Closer by NIN!!! I love this song! Brings back so many naughty memories! Sorry had to share that thought!
Ever had a day at work where you were just not sure what you should do about something and you just didn't want to get up and ask??? That's me today. I have some paperwork that needs to be done by the 8th. I'm just waiting on two things and I want to ask someone what the next step would be, but at the same time, I just don't want to deal with it. I need a vacation!
  2. I know exactly what you mean. There is no way no how that I would ever be able to be a day care provider. I give those people that can a strong pat on the back because they have guts & will power. It's hard these days to even find a good day care provider anymore that actually cares for your kids they way you want to treat them. My kids have had great sitters thankfully. *knocks on wood*
Trust me, the older they get, the more things to watch walking on the floor with. My ds believes that he has to have all his semi's & cars in the living room because that's where he has built garages/restaurants at. My dd has delcared a new decorating theme in her room. Honestly, I think dd got her no-so much clean room style from her dad while ds got his clean room sense from me.
  3. I can feel your pain! My kids are all over the place! And with them being so young that means I'm constantly tripping over them and making sure they are being good. So when I'm at work it's like a vacation from my kids! As horrible as that sounds! I could never be a daycare provider, I don't have the temperment for it! I think my sitter is a saint to be able to put up with all the kids all day! Especially when she is putting up with my little demonspawns, I mean, sweethearts!
  4. Um..I completely believe you about being perfect angels That sucks for the other girls but makes for an easy day for you. Sorry that one of the boss's is going to be there. I feel the exact same way when my boss decides to show up. He's there for maybe 30 minutes to an hour then leaves. But the time he's there, he makes me feel like I'm back in high school sitting in the office.
Being a short week is a good thing but also a pain in the butt at times. I keep forgetting what day it is or what I had to get done. If I don't have it written down, I feel like a space cadet. Is it sad to say that I'm counting down for school to get back in session & back to work for a full 5 days. Christmas vacation with kids who always say they are bored =
  5. Um...yeah...we are perfect angels! Actually the other three are bogged down with work since two of them were on vacation last week and the other one was covering for one of them. So it was boring for me, but a nice break. But today one of our bosses is here. Joy! I only get Friday off, that's not fair that you get a short week! But at least it's still a short week for me. I can appreciate that. I like long weekends, the longer the better! Unless my kids are being brats then I want to go to work!!
  6. Glad to hear that you & dh finally got a little break on Christmas with the kids & toys. That is too adorable how each one of them went to ya'll to open gifts then leave you to play with them. Kids are so cute during Christmas
for freedom at work. I bet that calls for a nice but long day. On the upside, at least it's another short week. Thankfully I don't have to work on New Year's Eve (it's ds's birthday, so I took it off) and we're off on New Years. However, ds's basketball coach decided we should have practice that day. men!
Hope your day is great & doesn't go too slow for you. I'm sure that you ladies are perfect angels at work.
  7. The moment all the presents were opened, dd went to dh and asked him to open her new tinker bell and cinderella dolls. Then it was her dollhouse! Ds came up to me to open all his gifts as well. It was kind of cute! It didn't take long for them to start playing right away! It was nice to get a break!
Today will prove interesting because so far, it's pretty quiet and none of our bosses are here! It's just me and three other gals working today. I know two of our bosses are gone all week and the other one...I don't know if he will be in later or not! But I'm enjoying the freedome! And it's a short week for me, we get Friday off for New Years! Do you work new years?
  8. Sounds like a wonderful Christmas in your house Your kiddos are so cute & sound so much like mine at that age. That's wonderful that they had a joyus day. How long did it take your ds to go off & play with his new toys? My dd was only with us about a whole 30 minutes then she was up in her room playing, singing, & dancing. Ds is still playing his video games & of course, wearing his new clothes Congrats on your gifts Sounds like your dh did really well. The necklace sounds so beautiful! I bet your kiddos were so excited to get their own dvd player. What you & your dh did was truly so sweet.
Hope you're having a great Monday!!
  9. My kids got up at 7:20!! Well dd did. Ds was up at 7! So I had to wake dh up early, and he wasn't too thrilled but hey, it's christmas! Dd was so ecstatic over all her presents! Ds opened one gift then I had to coax him to open the rest. He wanted to immediatly take off to play with his new one instead of seeing what else he got! They both made out like bandits and I did too! Dh got me a jewelry box, a new watch and a really nice black onxy necklace that says MOM across it. He did good this year! It was a nice christmas. We also used our gift card money to buy the kids a little dvd player that we set up with our old tv in ds' room so they can watch their movies in there and we can actually get our tv back!! The kids love it! Happy Monday!
  10. Merry Christmas hun Hope ya'lls day has been a great one. How early did the kiddos get up? I bet they were just so excited on Christmas finally being here. Did they lay out cookies for Santa/hohoho? My dd was up at 5:30 this morning expecting everyone to get up & open gifts. Needless to say we all got up & opened presents but then went back to bed for another hour or so. It was definately a good day. Both are a little upset that their "real" dad didn't bring over their gifts but they said that he's just doing that because they stopped going there to visit him about a month an a half ago. It's his loss in our eyes.
Hope you have a great weekend & enjoy the holiday. Congrats on getting your dh's present wrapped. That was a close one.
