That's cool! I graduated from my ultrasound school about a year ago. Depending on where you're at, finding a job may be really easy or really hard. Most programs make you choose (or pick for you) either general, OB, vascular, or cardiac. I thankfully, was in a program that was general plus OB plus a litle vascular... enough to give me a boost over other's who were only general. Def check out the job boards in your area to see which is most in demand, but also shadow some hospitals and see which one you'd like more. Cardiac would've been way easier to find a job in, the same with vascular, but I love being in a general ultrasound lab!
The school it self is a LOT of hard work. There are times you will want to give up. ]There are times you think this was the worst decision you've ever made and that you are just incapable of being an ultrasound tech. But you just need to work through that, and practice practice practice! We spent so much time at school beyond what was required, just practicing on each other. It will be frustrating, but when something clicks, it is the BEST feeling! I was terrified to graduate because I didn't feel ready to work in a hospital and have people's lives in my hands, but 7 working months later, I know I am good at my job and I love it!
