- Originally from Los Angeles and have three awesome children ages 26, 22 and 15. Older two live back home in SoCal.
The things I miss most are family, friends and the beaches. I miss the sights, smells, sounds and feel of the ocean. I miss the feel of the warm sand under my bare feet, the coolness of it at the waters edge, leaving imprints in the sand, the way the cool water caresses my body and takes my breath away as I submerge myself in it. Can't wait to go home and experience it all over again.
I love to travel and have been to four countries (England, France, Mexico and Jamaica) and 19 states so far, having lived in four of them (CA, TX, UT and MO), the last two courtesy of my husband and the Air Force. Am hoping to travel to many, many more and looking forward to those adventures.
I'm a nurse. I work full time here on the medical unit in a nearby hospital. In San Antonio, I worked at BAMC (Brooke Army Medical Center) on their telemetry unit. I loved working there. I had the honor of meeting, caring for and getting to know some of our wounded soldiers. As hard as that was, it was one of the best and most rewarding jobs I've ever had.
I'm a Soldiers' Angel. We adopt service members and support them through letters/emails and care packages during their deployment. In the past 5 years, I've adopted 25 soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines and have supported many, many more! : ) www.soldiersangels.org
I basically love doing whatever sounds good at the time. I want to enjoy life, have fun, live it and experience it. I don't want to regret things later on...then again, there was that one time at band camp haha j/k I don't want to be sitting in a rocker or nursing home somewhere many years down the road, looking back on life saying, "Wish I had done that", instead, I want to look back and say, "What the hell was I thinking?!?!?!" or better yet, "Damn that was fun!!!" I just want to look back on life, smile and say, "I had a really good life."
