How I Met My Military Significant Other:

We met through a social network of single parents. It began through email then we met in person last February. The rest, as they say, is history.

About Me:

I'm an art teacher, living in Michigan and my DB is stationed in Georgia. I have two beautiful daughters (6 and 10), a home I love to care for and lots of friends nearby. My life is busy and full as I care for my family and business, but my mind is never far from my amazing hero.

About Us:

We see each other every 6 weeks or so, talk daily prior to deployment) and text more than I care to admit. He is truly my definition of a hero--a wonderful father, loving son and amazing boyfriend. While the LD thing is a challenge, we are managing to grow together. Our time is so precious and every moment counts, so there is little drama and lots of love!

Interests & Hobbies:

I love to read and paint, and in warmer weather I landscape my yard and flowerbeds. I also like to take long walks and bike rides and do anything with my daughters.

DB will be out of the military in October 2008.

Music:

I listen to alternative rock, but like almost any kind of music.

Television:

Nip/Tuck is my guilty pleasure. I also like watching the E channel and Chelsea Handler shows.

Movies:

The Holiday, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and anything shown at Sundance

Reading:

I love reading David Sedaris books and articles when I need a laugh. Other than that, I read art books and an occasional cosmo!
