Hopefully your patience pays off and the perfect full time job opens up for you! My friend from back home just found out she has a full time teaching job for next school year. Exciting!
My work varies SO much. I'm on call 3 nights through the week. Sometimes I'll get called out once a night; sometimes once a week. I typically work every friday, so that is nice to have a full day's pay for sure. They pay well, but its a little stressful not knowing if I'm going to get to sleep each night or have to get up and go to work.

No real plans for this summer. Some friends are planning a couple visits here, and I'm planning on going home over July 4th. We already took a vacation at the beginning of May, so we're going to have to spend our summer close to home.
What do you have planned for this summer?
What grade level would you choose to teach if you could be choosy?

Oh that is my main frustration right now! I have a job at Capital Health in Trenton, but its only per diem. Thats ok, but I really need something to keep me busier. I had been keeping an eye out for jobs on base, and finally saw a posting from a hiring company! So I applied (I've got 5+ years experience, so felt confident), but I didnt hear anything! So I contacted the hiring company asking if they received everything they needed, and they sent an email back that said "please resend". Thats all! So I resubmitted everything, but still have not heard a word. Not even an email/phone call saying thanks but no thanks. I'm not sure if there is any use going to the clinic in person. Ahh frustration.
I really love sonography though. I loved my job back home, and I have a pretty sweet gig going on here.
How often do you get calls for subbing? You're kind of in the same boat as me... We have to wait for them to call us to go to work

Thanks~ I'm a picture fanatic... I make dh take pics wherever we go (he loves it)
We've only been here since December. Its our first duty station. His tech school was delayed so I visited Sheppard 4 times, and McChord once. I loved Seattle/Tacoma.
I have to admit, NJ wasn't what I had my fingers crossed for, but we're making the best of it. I'm a beach bum/small town girl at heart, so I was REALLY hoping for Charleston.
So you're in education? What/where do you teach?

I am enjoying Jersey much more now that the weather is nice and I'm not cooped up in the house!
Summer makes everything better! I ventured up to central park yesterday just for the heck of it and had a blast. So that made my week
You've been at McGuire for a while? Where would you like to go next?
