I just read your thread you posted in the Newbies section, but the thread was closed, so I figured I'd contact you here.
You're not alone at all! I know it is really hard when your friends and/or family don't understand. My friend actually said to me the other day, "well, Kerry, you signed up for this so I don't really know what you want from me. You knew what you were getting yourself into." I nearly jumped through the phone in response! Yes, I signed up for this, knowing it would be difficulty and HOPING that I'd at least have some support from those people around me who have alwasy said they'd have my back. So much for that. But, no, I can't say I knew what I was getting myself into. I don't think you can ever really know until you've actually lived it...
So, yea, sorry about that little rant. Just know that you're not alone.

It is hard not being on base and having the whole support group right there... The only wife I've made friends with so far just moved I miss her a whole lot. Especially since DB is TDY now and deploys right after... I hope everything is going good for you

I just got here in April of this year, so I'm still figuring out on the fun stuff to do. There are lots of hiking trails to do and beaches are always fun. The water here is gorgeous. There is the USS Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor. If either of you like history, that's a great place to go. I'm exhausted right now but I'll get make to you with more ideas. When is homecoming? What does your DB do? I'm Katie btw!
