Also, I wanted to compliment you on your very articulate and well-reasoned comments in the Edward Snowden thread. I absolutely agree with you, and am ashamed of my own government's involvement in the PRISM programme. You are quite correct that the Snowden case is a prime example of US, and by extension, UK hypocrisy, and I thank you for providing links. I read law in the UK, and remember learning that the US lacks provisions for protecting whistleblowers, unlike international law, which recognises that the revelation of official secrets may be justified in the public interest.
