sounds like a good v day!!
my V day was pretty good. i was able to spend 3 days with my boyfriend (KC) and the last day was actually valentine day but i had a night time flight. so all day we just hung out in his barracks and watched movies. he brought me breakfast in bed along with a rose, a teddy bear thats shirt says "someone in the marines loves me', and candy
then i flew out that night sadly. oh but the day before that he took me on a dolphin/ whale watching boat because im obsessed with dolphins

As for Valentines day, I was super sick so Jordan(my boyfriend) brought me soup, medicine, and juice, and let me sickly snuggle up to him and fall asleep. Have fun making your packages! trust me it helps meeting marine SOs on here because NONE of my friends back home have a military SO and they dont get it. i talk to about 4 marine girls on here that i text a lot, or talk on FB with or talk on the phone with because they offer great advice and are fun to talk with. they have became a 2nd family to me.

He signed up for the IED dog handler job and then a couple months later he got offered the job and they sent him to NC to meet and train his dog, Hank.
my db deploys in a couple days and then my brother and the rest of their unit will meet him in afghanistan in a couple weeks.

im gonna start making their first care packages this weekend and ill let you know the address as soon as they give me it

how was your valentines day girl?
trust me i understand that. i have a small family and we arnt really familyish either lol. but my DB's family is HUGE and are very into family things so that has been hard to get used too. and i had to meet them ALL during Christmas.

both my marines are Infantry. but while DB is in Afghanistan, his job is an IED dog handler so he has a cute black lab named hank. & my brother is a squad leader which means hes in charge of a few guys. Luckily my bro and DB are in the same unit and will be with each other the whole time

He is going for combat engineer. He should end up staying east coast as far as I know there are two tech schools for it east coast and one west. I'll be happy for him No matter what but east coast would definiltely be easier. :-) his family and I took a while.. well his mom and I but now she somewhat understands me. My family isn't very familyish and she didn't understand why I didn't want to get close to his entire family right off the bat :-) but now she and I are definitely getting along..so what are the jobs your guys are doing?

But they went through basic in Cali too.

Yes, I'm going down with his family. We are from Ohio, so we're actually going to drive down, which is going to be hard on me because I'm a full time student right now at a college here, but I am not missing that! So his mom, dad, aunt, grandma, and me are going to drive down. His uncle has been in the Marines for over 25 years and actually lives down in NC so we're going to stay there. So I'm excited about that, not about the car ride or the crazy amount of homework I am going to have to do though!! Where are they stationed?

My brother is a marine also and they r stationed together. I've only been dating my man for 8 months tho and met him almos 2 years ago.
I remember when my brother left for bootcamp and how hard it was having him gone. Just keep your self busy and around supportive people. And write him EVERYDAY. Prepare for him to be a changed man when he gets out of basic. not in a bad way tho.
