We always go to Seneca, it's a small town where my grandparents grew up. I just looked it up and it's only like two hours north of Fort Riley. That's pretty cool! I haven't been there in a while but I want to go back sometime soon. That is awesome how you and your husband met and stayed in touch after you moved! You guys sound like you're meant to be!
I hear ya on the "who knows what's going to happen"... I guess that's the Army for ya, huh? Taylor says he'll be back in September but I'm still counting down to October so if the Army says just kidding, we're gonna stay here a little longer, then hopefully I won't be too shocked. Haha.

I am going to school at UNI right now, for elementary education. I JUST got hired part time at a restaurant in Waterloo, which is great because I need to start saving money for flights to Alaska! Haha. What about you, are you going to school or working right now?

He likes Alaska, especially in the summer! He's been stationed there the last two years and just signed up to stay there for his next three years. I used to go to Kansas all the time growing up for family vacations. My dad's side of the family is from there so we always had lots of relatives to visit in Kansas. I like it there. That's awesome he's trying to get a Ranger slot, DB wants to go to go to Ranger school sometime too. Taylor and I started talking to each other back in January, I know his mom and she gave me his address to send a letter to him in Afghanistan. We hit it off right away and started talking every chance we got. We finally got to be together on his R&R a few weeks ago and that's when we started officially dating. He's infantry - mortarman. What about you? How did you and your husband meet? What does he do?

No way! I'm from Ryan.. around Manchester.. I went to West Delaware! I definitely know EdCo. My boyfriend has been deployed for four months now. Gotta wait six more months or so, and then he's stationed in Alaska so it'll still be an LDR. Oh well, it's worth it. It's really nice to meet you! How long does he have to do training for? Is he active or will he come back home when he's done with training?

No way! Right now I live in Cedar Falls but my hometown is an hour west of Dubuque on hwy 20. We're not too far apart! I'm Lynne, by the way, I'm 20, my boyfriend is Taylor and he's in the Army, deployed to Afghanistan right now. It's so nice to meet someone from nearby!

I grew up an hour from here, so I've always been here. But DH has been stationed here for 3 years in October.
