Yep, still in Florida. I got a job through the lab I did my masters thesis in so I'm working at the university I graduated from.

I'm glad you were able to put your major to use. I can't wait until I can. I'm looking at orgs like the CDC, The Carter Center, WHO, etc. Organizations that help combat infectious diseases common in resource poor areas. The problem is there aren't a lot of entry level positions in the organizations. They all want you to have 5 plus years experience before they'll even consider you.

Well that's a fun way to spend an anniversary. That sounds like a pretty good organization. How did you go from a lit person to working in non profits? I'm pretty much the same I work in a research lab, but I'm trying to get into a global health organization. I've been applying to jobs since last summer and still no luck. Pretty depressing. Research isn't bad though, so I really can't complain. Teddy is doing great, but he's going through is "terrible 2s". The holidays were alright. It's not a big deal in my family, so we exchanged gifts and that's about it. I did get two weeks off of work though.

I think it was on your anniversary (I saw someone post on fb) and I was thinking that I remember when you got married. Doesn't seem like it's been that long. by the way. Did you do anything fun? Where are you working at now? I'm glad you got to spend some time I home, was it super cold out?
