Aaaww...I want to cry with you. I know how that felt. But yes, he is okay and that brings some relief to your mind. I'm sure you will talk to him soon! Take care...have fun with your training!
  2. Hi Shelia! Glad to hear your SO is doing OKAY & thus so are you. It's an awesome feeling to hear your SO's voice and reassurance. Sadly, I have not spoken on the phone nor had a SKYPE communication since Friday. I had a very long weekend especially because my son spend the entire past 1.5 weeks with his father . My SO was on a Mission all weekend long and couldn't attempt contact with me until today and OF COURSE it is impossible for me to talk at work for the next 2 weeks because I have mandated training everyday nearly all day long & its the beginning of our Academic Program Year ((((. I missed his call & was almost in tears...I hope to talk to him soon however, I am happy that he is alright :0

Hi Dy, how's it going? Just thought I would check in on you.
I got a call this morning from DB...well I don't know if I could say a call. It rang a couple of time and when I picked up he hung up. I called him back, no answer, I texted him, he didnt reply. So I'm guessing he was just letting me know he's okay and he was thinking about me. I miss his voice so much...I cried when I didnt get to talk to him. But at least I know he was thinking about me and that was reassuring.
Hope your SO is doing well. Take care and have a great week!

**update**I just got a call from DB!! I am so happy over the moon! He told me how much he missed talking to me and he said thank you for all the messages that I left for him. What a great feeling!
  4. Hi Shelia! Virtually everyone who is close to me calls me Dy! I know the feeling of having a long distance relationship . It can be so challenging. My SO virtually has NO permanent home. He is an the instructor reserves full-time for the past 4 years (though he is career Army has been in a long time) and thus has bounced all over the country teaching the past few years, living in hotels for months on end before moving to a new city. For the first 8 months of our relationship he and I spent a lot of time in Airports ripping/running across the country every 4-7 weeks to see each other so i definitely know where you are coming from. I mean I feel lucky to have been able to seem even that much considering the distance, sometimes it gets hard when I want him there everyday . Deployment is completely different though not so much the distance bc we are nearly one year into our union (hooray) but the not being able to interact the way we usually do and the time change ..well really being in a completely different day/time is a lot at times.

Im sorry i want completely off on a tangent . I will no doubt stay connected with you regularly and ENJOY doing so. Its very nice to have this community. I am grateful.
Im sure your SO is certainly worth the many sacrifices made to make love last!! When its difficult I always remember the even bigger sacrifices made by my SO as well as all other military personnel that seems to help..

Hi, my name is Sheila. I really like this site. I always feel better knowing others are going through the same things as me. Some days I do well at being positive and others...not so good! My SO lives about 5hours from me. In the past 5months we have only seen each other twice. He is getting some leave in a week or two...before he leaves for a year. It's not easy, but I think he's worth the sacrifices and that is what counts. Write me anytime...I always need friends to help encourage me and I hope that I can encourage others during their down times. We all need help getting through these challanges.
