Its so nice to have others to talk to about this. I haven't had anyone to talk to about any of this... its nice I feel like im trying and trying and not getting anywhere. He always assures me though that I make him want to live. He loves me and he keeps going for me.. thats how I know how strong he is. He doesnt want to let me down and thats partly why he wont say certain things. I just reassure him daily I love him and I'm not going anywhere. I'm not quite sure what your fiance will go through exactly.. They all go through different things. There is SO much he will not tell you and partly because he cant but also because its a lot to take for us wives back home. They are trained to say less to us and to just keep it in. Its not healthy by any means but its the military for ya.. I am keeping my head up high, although it isn't always easy and sometimes i want to give up... but I know the man I fell in love with is still there inside of him and thats why i wont give up.

hey! Thanks for writing me. He was a doc for infantry marines. He has seen and done things that I can't even imagine... The stories he tells me make me cry just thinking about the pain he has inside. He has seen some of his best friends get shot, he has had to hold them and tell them they will be ok when he knows full well they werent. Anyone that has gone through all of that stuff wouldnt come out normal.. I hate he feels ashamed.. He told me that he thinks he would be better off dead because of what he has done.. he says it never stops in his head.. its like a constant replay. I feel useless... I love this man more than anything. Its so hard to see it in his eyes, that he hates life. I know everyone is writing on my thread about how he needs to see certain drs and stuff.. i just dont know how much that will help. If you ever need a friend to talk to I am here.. ive been through deployments with my husband and now the afterlife of military.
