How I Met My Military Significant Other:

I met him on the internet when I was 13. From there we started talking and realized that he was friends with my brothers girlfriend and her friends. So they set it up for us to meet at a party and since then we never lost touch of each other.

About Us:

Well, I met my boyfriend when I was about 14. I'm 20 years old now. From then I pretty much knew that he was my love. We went out for awhile, and I knew that we were in love. Yeah, we were young but I also knew that I have never, and would never experience this kind of feeling again. Along the years we lost touch, but would always find each other somehow. Whether it be internet, or me calling his Mother to find out his phone number. Recently, I found him again and we started talking. That's when I found out that he was in the army. Before this, I was against it, I really was. But when he asked me to be with him again, I began to understand things. I understand now how somebody can love their country so much. I finally accept it. I'm getting into this relationship knowing some of the things to expect. He's leaving for Afgahnistan in January so we've been trying to spend as much time together as we can with him working all the time and living 30 minutes away. We're both trying to make this work.
