How I Met My Military Significant Other:

(Early part of 2003)
We met in an 8th grade speech class, exchanging notes through the class period. We dated off an on in high school, a total of four or five times.
(May 2008)
When we graduated from high school we were attempting to date again, but it was short lived since he left for Texas to join Border Patrol.
(Fall 2009)
A year later he came home, and looked into joining the military. His dad who is retired air force moved to Denver for a job taking the family with. We talked briefly before he left my life again.

Now almost two years after we graduated from high school we started dating again. He asked to be my friend on Facebook, and it got us talking again.

About Me:

I grew up an only child, very spoiled but raised to be grateful for everything, with good old fashion manners.

I can be bossy and controlling at time, especially when I'm nervous. :P I defiantly got an annoying side.

My dad was in the Army Reserves, working mostly as a professor. Every summer he would leave to teach B.T.

My junior year of high school he was activated to work with the Iraqi Freedom War..thing. >.>


I never expected my ties to the military to go beyond my father. I was always private about my dad's military service, not wanting the attention of it.

I'm in my sophomore year of college working to become a high school English teacher. I hope to graduate asap, because I just don't like college. :P It's expensive and kinda boring.

For my high school career I had been working towards an Orthodox Jewish conversion, but the past year I've been doubting it. I finally put it on hold when I started dating Matt. (Not that big of an issue atm, but worth noting since it was a big chuck of my life.)

He is introverted, I'm extroverted. I love how I can be so calm and quiet with him, yet so loud and crazy. He really loves food and being in control. He always is attracted to security, typical men jobs. He loved being on mall security in high school. This entertains me how typical guy he is. I'm a bit crazy and we seem to compliment each other well.
